Milu Bear Notes

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS/iPadOS app Milu Bear Notes handles information. The app does not provide its own account-registration system and does not require you to provide your name, email address, or password to use its core features.

Memo, task, and app data

The app stores the content and settings needed to provide its features. This may include memo titles and text, rich-text formatting data, task titles and schedules, repeat settings, notification settings, task completion history, trash/deletion state, selected character icons, character unlock progress, and related app preferences.

Depending on the storage location you choose, memo and task data is stored either locally on your device or in the app's private Apple iCloud / CloudKit database. Character unlock progress may also be stored and synchronized through iCloud when available. If iCloud is unavailable, related data may be kept locally until synchronization becomes available again.

The developer does not use memo or task content for advertising or analytics and does not provide memo or task content, character icon selections, or character progress to Google AdMob.

Local storage, widgets, and notifications

The app uses local storage, including SwiftData, UserDefaults, application-support files, and an App Group shared with its widget, to provide offline use, preferences, cached font files, and widget display. Widget data is used locally by the app and widget extension.

If you enable task notifications, the app schedules local notifications through Apple's UserNotifications framework. Notification content can include the task title and scheduled time. These notifications are scheduled by the operating system and are not sent to the developer's own server.

Advertising and consent management

The free version uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK for banner and rewarded advertising and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent and privacy choices where required.

The app configuration disables ad personalization and Publisher First-party ID, does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not intentionally use IDFA for tracking. Google may nevertheless process information needed for ad delivery, consent management, fraud prevention, measurement, and diagnostics, such as device information, IP address and approximate location derived from it, advertising interactions, identifiers used by Google's services, usage information, and diagnostic information, in accordance with Google's policies.

See the Google Privacy Policy and Google AdMob privacy information.

In-app purchases

The app offers a one-time Premium purchase. Purchases, restoration, and entitlement verification are processed through Apple StoreKit and the App Store. The app receives the purchase/entitlement status and transaction information necessary to unlock Premium features. The developer does not receive your payment card details.

Font downloads and update checks

The app may download optional font files from the developer's web hosting and may contact Apple's App Store lookup service to check the currently published app version. Standard network connection information such as IP address and request metadata may be processed by the relevant network or hosting provider when these requests are made.

Third-party services

For information about Apple's handling of data, see the Apple Privacy Policy. For Cloudflare, see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Data sharing and sale

The developer does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by Apple, Google, Cloudflare, or other infrastructure providers only as needed to provide the features described above and subject to their respective policies.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete memos and tasks from within the app. Deleted items may remain temporarily in the app's trash or synchronization data until they are permanently removed according to the app's functionality. Removing the app from a device does not necessarily remove data stored in iCloud. iCloud-stored data is also subject to your Apple Account and iCloud settings.

Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect data handled by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's privacy

The app is not specifically directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account-registration system.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app's features, third-party services, or data practices change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
